Information & Assistance

Assistance from the Council on Aging staff comes in many forms, ranging from help with housework and daily tasks to understanding complex forms and managing home finances.

We employ several homemakers who are available to help seniors with dishwashing, laundry, bill paying, grocery shopping and other daily jobs, in addition to offering a friendly person to visit with or a chance for caretakers to take a much-needed break. Services are available to those over age 60, as well as the disabled, with a suggested donation rate of $10 per hour.

Our staff also employs SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) counselors trained in helping clients with Medicare, Social Security and related issues.
